 Description

I tried sending a seller on our shops a message.

https://shops.rdnation.com/roller-derby-item/ROCKABILLY-CHICKS--Lot-of-15--Pin-Back--1-Buttons/29

If you try to click on Contact Seller on the right hand side, you see that I can't actually send them a message.  Please review the issue and try to make it work again.

The method that your currently using is used to fill the Add Button popup.  So its not actually used to auto fill the textbox.  That was done with javascript.

Look at this method in the MessageController.

As you can see, we already fill the list of recipients if the url contains the key words.  We had javascript that would fill the textbox, if it was specifically, shop, jobboard, officiating, paywall, calevent, otherwise we don't actually fill the textbox with entries.

Does that make sense?

You mentioned below line to display shop owner in Members and Groups field.

The Members and Groups field should already contain the owners of the shop.  It has worked in the past, so this should just be a simple fix.  Review the method that loads the view.  If the URL has the word shop in, the shop owner should be selected and added to that field.

I have used GetConnectedShopRecipient method to get all connected shop recipient in Members and Group Field when URL has the word shop. It means I am getting Recipient List in Members and Group Field by OwnerType wise using GetMemberById method. Please review and let me know what you want exactly.

Please review also RDN-1133 Message Redirection Issue and let me know your comments I have also used GetMemberById method for this.

When I go to this link: http://localhost:1094/messages/new/member/ec4c2dd5055d44e086354a4ccfc80e49

I now see all the members that the member knows.  I don't want to see any members in the TO List.

Where else was public JsonResult GetMemberById(string memberId) used?  Did you review any other places that used this method?

Can you please gve me more details about this issue? In which case you are getting trouble to send message?

If user clicks on Contact Seller button, Do we need to pre populate "Members and Groups" field in Send New Private Message?
