Icatalin,  This is a big piece.  So you will need to work through the scoreboard application to figure it out.  The attachments tab has a excel spreadsheet.  We need to replace a spreasheet in the RDNation Scoreboard with this one.

Within the Scoreboard project: Scoreboard > Resources > stats-book-03-2013

  1. Keep that excel file there.
  2. Add this new excel file to the folder.
  3. Mark it as content.
  4. Do a find and replace within the entire solution for this file and replace the references.
  5. The workbook now needs to be tested with the old code.  PopulateWftdaReport class handles all the technical conversions.
  6. create a new game.
  7. Add names to the line ups.
  8. Create teams.
  9. Start the game, start and stop etc.
  10. Then Game/Settings tab.
  11. Wftda Workbook Report button.

WFTDA has a new stats book. It can be found on their website. Please update this. It is called the IGRF instead of the IBRF. We can no longer submit the IBRFs so we can use Thors Hammer at the bout but then have to reenter evertying into the IGRF once the game is done. There isn't really any major changes. Line up tracking I think has the most. We have a sanctioned game coming up the end of Sept and would like to use this if it is updated. Thank you. We love what we have seen so far and are supper excited to use it.

Yes, please adapt the code to work.

  1. The Referees section has been moved down to the END of section 4.  Scroll all the way down.  If you need to add an enum to update the types to these refs, you can.
  2. As you can see, there is a Referee type.  Use that Referee type and match it up to the current type in Section 4.  You can use LINQ queries to find the NSO that works for that column.
    1. You can add new Referee Types to match each member up to section 4 Official Positions.  Please don't remove old types.
  3. No, do NOT update the excel document.  We don't own the document it self.  Another organization owns the document.
  4. Yes, go ahead and do a seperate branch and pull request for this.

Thanks Catalin!  Doing a great job!

Almost done. But I have some other questions until then.

1. In the new excel on IGFR there is no section for GameViewModel.Instance.Officials.Referees in old version there is 4 rows for this (IBRF 32-25)

the column Official Position is already filled up. Should I adapt the code

 foreach (var nso in GameViewModel.Instance.Officials.Nsos)
                            reportSheet.Cells[row, 1].Value = nso.SkaterName;
                            reportSheet.Cells[row, 4].Value = RDN.Utilities.Enums.EnumExt.ToFreindlyName(nso.RefereeType);
                            reportSheet.Cells[row, 8].Value = nso.League;
                            reportSheet.Cells[row, 10].Value = RDN.Utilities.Enums.EnumExt.ToFreindlyName(nso.Cert);
                            row += 1;

regarding this?

3. In cell C36 (for ex) there is a formula that is broken ( I guess it is complaining about some strings and not ints that are inserted in the Score sheet) (JAM column).
Should I fix this by some conversions in PopulateScore() method ?

And last: Should I do a separate branch to commit this, or just include the file and commit to dev?

Please fix that.  The IBRF sheet and IGRF pages should be very close to the same thing.  Please update the code to fill out the IGRF page instead of the IBRF page. The people who wrote this excel report, changed the page names, but it should mostly be the same thing.

The new excel file is a version UPGRADE to the old excel file.

Very useful video. Everything seems to work ok as in video. Except on thing the IGFR  sheet is not filed with data, in video the (19:00) the IBFR sheet is filed ( I think this is caused by the name difference of the sheets). The other sheets are ok.

this video might help. Go ahead and watch it and see if there is anything else you might want to test before you commit. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xUMig3CcVqc. I created this video a couple years ago, but it should show you how stats work and that excel file works.

Hi, I have done this (I haven't committed it yet) and everything seems to work as before. After a game, play start , stop etc.. if I generate a WFTDA Report it will generate one with the new structure (as expected). But in the generated excel file there isn't any data. I am not sure 100% that this is the correct behaviour. But the old structure have a similar behaviour.

I don't know exactly what to believe about this.

PS. There was only one reference, when the report is generated. Or maybe I missed something?

It worked. I have it thanks.
