  1. I think we are missing something within the share url events.
  2. I have looked over this 100 times and I don't think its GMT issue.
  3. I do think it might be day light savings times.  We might need to add another drop down for calendar in settings or the league edit menu for day light savings times.
  4. We need to verify and let the league decide if they are in day light savings time or not.

Thanks Scott!

I also noticed this:

When using the "Share URL" button from the Calendar, the file imports using GMT time, ignoring the UTC set in the league settings (for us, -5.00 UTC)

I took a look at the ics file that gets generated and it seems that it exports the DTSTART and DTEND using the GMT equivalent of our events (ex: DTEND:20190122T013000 [should end at 20:30] DTSTART:20190121T233000 [should start at 18:30). I know enough about this to know that it needs some sort of UTC designation (either the time zone we chose in settings or designating this as using GMT/UTC 00.00 so that iCal and Google can convert to the Local Time.

I hope this all makes sense! We really like RD Nation, but there are some bugs that we'd love to see fixed.

I think I need you to do some research on this.  How do other calendar apps do this.  Look into some GitHub code, look at other applications and take a few hours to research this.  I want to make sure this is done right.  Look at Google Calendar, etc...

Then, come back with what you find.  Lets do this right.

Do I need to add dropdown or checkbox to allow daylight savig time or not in calendar settings?

Which timezone we need to consider to export calendar using shared url?
