It looks like a user was trying to quote a post that has since been deleted.  Please look into this.

If the post was deleted, we need to send them back to the original forum thread and notify them that this post has since been removed.

  1. Person goes to a Forum thread.
  2. A post is then removed while someone is reading the forum thread.
  3. The user clicks the quote button to quote the post.
  4. That click should check if the post has been removed.
  5. If the post was removed, it will create a NOTIFY event on the screen that says "This post has been removed from the thread." color of warning.
  6. If the post was not removed, it will send the user along the normal path of quoting the post.
  • Step 5 should be a Javascript request back to server and check if the post was deleted.
  • This new method should be added to the ForumController.
  • This new javascript method should be placed inside the Forum JS class.

Method: QuotePost
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I don't see a response or a notifcation event.

  1. I open up the topic on two tabs.
  2. I then delete a message within the topic.
  3. I switch to the other tab.
  4. I try to quote the message.
  5. I don't see any message that says I can't quote the post.

It seems like you copied the same string twice.
