We allow our skaters to work off some of their dues at the beginning of the year by selling sponsorships, everyone has a goal and then they get a discount of whatever % of that goal that they reach, so if the goal was $1,000 and someone gets $500 of sponsorship fort he league then they get 50% off of their dues for the rest of the year. This makes it so that we have people who owe all different amounts. We also allow skaters to apply for a reduction in dues due to hardship where we come up with an amount that they feel comfortable paying and agree to that. It would be nice if there was a way to set the monthly dues owed by each individual skater instead of setting up categories so that we didn't have to go in and change them each month. Maybe have categories and then a "custom" option?
I can understand the need to set individuals at a certain rate rather than classifying those people. Would you set the amount and then forget it? Or would you set it and set maybe a deadline on the amount? So they get 6 months at that rate, but you would set a date where it would expire?
I hadn't really thought about being able to set an expiration date, but that would be a great feature! I was just thinking that in January we would need to go back and reset everyone, but it would be a lot easier if it just did it automatically.
