Users can't edit Recurring events.
the new threading looks great. Good job.
Everything worked to edit, except Time slots ( there was a problem but it is fixed now).
About the execution time I have added tasks for creating a new event. So if you have an reoccuring event with 10 events you will have 10 tasks ( the same is also available for Create Reoccuring event). This saves some time ( ex. at me at one exec for edit a reoccuting event the "old" way took 292483 miliseconds and the "new" way took 84733 miliseconds) . The foreach that sets IsRemovedFromCalendar = true it doesn't affect the performace nor the dc.SaveChanges() for this so I have let it as it is. (We you not gain time if this part is reworked)
But even with tasks this can very easy take more than 2 3 sec ( time after a normal users stats to have "second thoughts"). So maybe it would be good to tell the user that the request is being processed. ( a dialog or something to inform him)
Please continue where Dhara left off. Thanks
Do you know how to do async tasks?
More specifically, do you know how to use Tasks.WaitAll?
My thoughts would be to break out the creationg and removing into two seperate tasks. Both tasks be async and we just run them both at the same time. Then WaitAll for them both to return.
Recurring Events gets updated but actually problem is update operation taking too much time for update old event in calender as isRemovedFromCalender = true and create new events calcender.
So it will kill process after sometime on server becuase all request have some request time set in server.,
Please give some detail what should i do ??
Extremly Sorry, I made confusion in last comment. And Already i found my question answear.
Can you please describe this comment better?
And i have seen like once user selected occurence of Event During Create Event Step. User not able to edit occurence of event for recurring event in create and edit event step. we required like this or we missed something functionality wise ??
I tried with all option and combination for update recurring event and its work fine and no error generated in system also.
What do you mean? Can you please explain your last question?
Once I have saved recuring event, I am not able to change recurring detail. is it ok with user experience??
Hi, I tried many time to update event with difference option changes and it is working fine and also. please let me know if you have any specific case or exception detail
Dhara, please continue this task from where Arpit left off.
how are you doing on this update?
can you try a couple more times in other ways? Edit the event, then reedit the event and make sure things are still working.
I tried adding a new recurring event and tried to update it. I found everything is getting updated. Is there something is not getting saved at your end or its not updating anything and throwing error?
I renamed this property called UrlLink or SiteLink, please update the property in your code.
On View Event page there is below link used where RDNationLink is supposed to come from NewCalendarEvent class but this property is neither included there nor anywhere else in the project. This is the root cause for the bug.
<a href="@Model.RDNationLink" target="_blank">@Model.RDNationLink</a>
What should I do for it?
